We are currently seeking an Interiors Engineer at our Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Plant facility to support Interiors, Seating, and Restraints Engineering teams’ activities from a production standpoint.
Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection.
Be a liaison between manufacturing, plant vehicle engineering, and interiors engineering teams to ensure constant communication and execution.
Lead assembly and plant quality issues related to interiors, seating, and restraints components and features and drive them to closure.
Perform tests, validations, and experiments required to solve interiors, seating, and restraints related issues in the manufacturing plant.
Support new product launches, execute part concession deviations for interiors, seating, and restraints components in the manufacturing plant.
Interact with internal release teams, new product introduction team, quality engineers and suppliers for change control
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, or relevant areas, Masters preferred.
2+ years of technical experience working with automotive components. OEM automotive experience or Tier 1 supplier experience preferred
Experience in the root cause analysis or Six Sigma problem solving in the production environment.
Resilience and have a "can-do" approach to problem solving
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills
Able to work for prolonged periods routinely exceeding eight or more hours.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
Working knowledge of plastics, textiles, leather, vinyl and fastening methods
Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events.
General knowledge of vehicle components, assembly, etc.
Experience with 3D CAD. CATIA preferred
Experience with Atlassian software like Jira and Confluence.
