The Powertrain Advanced Manufacturing Team is responsible for building and supporting prototype hardware for Lucid’s next generation HV Battery, Drive Unit and Power Electronics programs at our headquarters in Newark, CA. We are currently seeking a Sr. Process Engineer for our prototype build team.
Define Station Layout and execute preparation readiness for E-Motor prototype line launches
Create processes for unique E-Motor prototype lines, including process quality control plans
Develop new tools and equipment for quality improvement and production efficiency
Skilled use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs
Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic
Develop and implement Powertrain PFMEA standards and policies
Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines
Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in a complex prototype engineering development
Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Powertrain line development from conception to launch
3-5 years in Powertrain Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering
Experience in the automotive Powertrain equipment design/ sustaining
Track record in developing Powertrain manufacturing processes
Versed in the prototype development phase of the product life cycle
Possess strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
NPI and product launch
Lean Manufacturing and DOE
Hands-on mechanical fabrication and prototyping
Manufacturing Test Development (NI LabVIEW, etc.)
EV Powertrain systems
CAD skills (CATIA V6 preferred)
