** Monday - Friday position    ** $3,500 Sign-on Bonus   **  Will be part of the rotational on-call staff.

Terraces of Boise, a HumanGood life plan community is hiring an RN-IP.   Protecting our residents and team members' environments is mission critical. We are seeking an RN that will champion that cause.

The RN-IP reports to the Director of Nursing and partners with the Medical Director for Antimicrobial Stewardship and other stakeholders to develop a system of care that promotes sound and scientific infection prevention principles and practices.  The RN-IP is responsible for the facility infection prevention and control program (IPCP) which is designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment, and to help prevent development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.  Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct the infection prevention and control program and its activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Administrator, Director of Nursing and the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to ensure that an effective infection prevention and control program is maintained at all times.
• Collaborate with Facility Leadership and the Medical Director to develop, implement and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action
• Conduct analysis and formulate conclusions, identify occurrences, incubation periods, periods of communicability, modes of transmission, signs and symptoms, and susceptibility associated with the infectious disease process
• Maintain a system of reporting possible incidents of communicable diseases to local, state, or national agencies as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Accredited Nursing Program (RN)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, medical technology, public health, or other healthcare science
• Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience or one year as a nursing supervisor
• Skilled Nursing or Senior Care experience
• RN license in Applicable State
• Current CPR certification
• Must meet current or have completed national training requirements for Infection Prevention and Control
• Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members.
